Why we love it

Ten pounds well spent. This candlestick is thrown in dense, high-fired stoneware, at least 30% of it recycled from broken pieces ground back into the clay, and glazed in a deep spruce green that works as well in November as it does at Christmas. The weight is the giveaway: it feels like a piece from a far smarter shop. Buy two or three for a dining table, or one for a bedside with a taper in it. Hand wash only, which is a small price for the glaze.
