Why we love it

This hand-embroidered linen tablecloth celebrates the Mediterranean tradition of Sardinade, with Sarah Espeute's delicate stitching depicting grilled sardines, wine glasses, and lemons across natural indigo-dyed fabric. Made to measure in her Marseille atelier, it's the sort of piece that transforms an ordinary dinner into something worth remembering, whether you're hosting a casual weeknight supper or a proper gathering.

Description

La Sardinade TableclothCustom-made tablecloth with multiple embroideries: a plate of "Sardinade", decorative dishes, glasses, shakers, an olive oil bottle and a plate of lemon. For this piece, Sarah was inspired by "La Sardinade", a culinary specialty, where same-day caught sardines are grilled whole and served with a lemon slice. Often served with white or rosé wine, Sardinades are celebrations that take place on the mediterranean and atlantic coasts.
