Why we love it
Rita Konig spotted an antique mahogany tray in a junk shop and reimagined it as this slimline version, handmade in Vietnam using traditional Son Mai lacquer. The purple finish and delicate cut-out edges give it real character, whilst the handles at each end make it genuinely useful for carrying things between rooms or laying across your sofa arm with a drink and a book.
Description
Inspired by an antique brown mahogany tray found by Rita in a junk shop, the Margot Tray is a sleeker design and comes in different, lacquer colours with a detailed cut out edge and handles at each end. Handmade in Vietnam by master craftsmen in traditional Son Mai lacquer. Part of the Rita Konig collection for The Lacquer Company.
