Why we love it
This solid brass star is substantial enough to announce visitors with real authority, yet the hollow casting keeps it lighter than it looks. Mounted on a front door or gate, it ages beautifully as the brass develops its own patina over time, becoming more characterful with each season. The screws sit flush on the face, so there's nothing unsightly to see from inside.
Description
A large star door knocker cast in solid, polished unlacquered brass. Weighty, though the star is hollow. It fixes to the face of the door with two screws, so no bolts show inside. A front door's best piece of jewellery. Left unlacquered, it will weather to the soft, aged look of the ones you see on old cottage doors.
