Ceau Store (say it "so store") was started in 2020 by Emily Hendy, who couldn't find a pleated lampshade she loved in the UK, so she made her own. Each shade is still made by hand to order, from natural linens and handwoven cottons on a thick card backing rather than plastic. Most of the materials come from other small businesses. Her pleated shades, scalloped Cloud shades and small lamps have been featured in Elle Decoration and The Sunday Telegraph, and they cast a lovely soft shadow when lit.
